Safari Zones at Bannerghatta

Take a guided bus or private jeep to see animals roaming in large forest environments.

Bannerghatta's safari spans five distinct zones: Herbivore, Bear, Leopard, Lion, and Tiger. Visitors must stay inside protected vehicles while touring these natural habitats.

Safari vehicles operate between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The park strictly prohibits teasing the animals, and visitors must maintain silence during the drive.

Tiger and Lion Safari

These dedicated enclosures simulate natural forests where Bengal tigers, white tigers, and lions roam freely. You will observe them safely from inside your caged bus or jeep.

Herbivore Safari

This 68-hectare landscape features grazing animals like spotted deer, sambar deer, gaurs, and nilgai. The large area gives the animals plenty of space to forage. Look closely near the natural lakes where animals often gather to drink.

Bear and Leopard Safari

This section includes zones for rehabilitated sloth bears and a 20-hectare area for rescued leopards. Keep your eyes on the tree branches as you drive through. Leopards are often found resting above the ground.
